Entertainment And Shopping
African Jazz and Shebeen tours: African jazz is a favourite attraction in the shebeens. Several companies conduct township tours into Mamelodi and include popular shebeen stopovers to give visitors the opportunity to hear skilled musicians play jazz with an African flavour and to meet the locals who go there to relax after a hard day at work. Contact the Tshwane Municipality Tourism Division for the names and contact details of tour guides.
History And Architecture
Islamic Centre: The Islamic Centre in Mamelodi is unique in that this community was the first body to acknowledge and honour the black soldiers who gave their lives during the Second World War.
