Oribi Gorge

Norwegian pioneers were the first people to farm this fertile terrain, naming it after the agile little antelope prevalent in the area at that time. The topography of the area dictated complete isolation and the settlers tried, in vain, to persuade government officials to re-route the proposed railway line.
